Media protect for Umbraco
Media protect helps you protect Umbraco media items using the same simple way as you protect documents.
Once the package is installed and you protect certain media, or content nodes the files will be password protected. Only authenticated members can open the files, otherwise members will be redirected to the login screen.
No need to add additional properties to your Media Type, it just works!
Media protect is using the standard ASP.NET Membership API, so you can use the existing login methods for authentication.
Trial License:
You can download a trial license here which is fully functional but will work on localhost only.
Commercial License:
We have three license types available.
DomainLicense
With a single domain license you are allowed to use Media protect for a single domain and all subdomains, such as www.example.com, accept.example.com, and local.example.com.
ServerLicense
You are allowed to install Media protect on a single physical web server, and use it for unlimited Umbraco instances on that server.
UnlimitedLicense
You are allowed to install Media protect on unlimited production web servers, and use it for unlimited Umbraco instances that your company developed.
System Requirements:
Media protect requires IIS and is compatible with Umbraco version V13 to V16+
Software Upgrade policy:
Minor updates for both the LTS release and the subsequent STS versions are included and can be installed without additional cost. For example, if you purchased 17.0 version of SEO Checker, you get free updates of all 17.x, 18.x and 19.x versions
